Law for people · A case study
From published legislation to connected legal information.
Law for people (Czech: Zákony pro lidi) uses AToM to manage legislation, court decisions and their relationships. The public website brings this connected information to its readers.
Work with structured legal texts.
A fragment is the smallest individually addressable part of a legal text. AToM manages fragments, their hierarchy and their relationships. Not every level of the hierarchy is present in every regulation.
Apply amendments with editorial tools.
An expert editor uses a dedicated AToM function to apply new wording to the existing text. AToM automatically checks the relevant relationships during this work. These tools make the editorial work efficient.
Connect legislation and court decisions.
AToM also manages court decisions and their links to specific parts of legislation. These relationships connect legal texts with the decisions that concern them.
Develop ideas through our own project.
Law for people is an AION project. Its internal development also serves as a laboratory for new ideas and techniques. We apply them in other projects where they are relevant.
